fire rating: coated batt systems

Whilst maintaining the structure of the building is of integral importance, preventing the spread of fire through containment is equally important in preserving the structure, and more importantly the lives of building occupants. Remedial Building Services proudly offer and install the Nullifire B747-60 system of coated batts.

Comprised of a lightweight mineral fibre board, coated with a elastomeric, ablative waterbased sealant, the batts are fire rated to 2 hours. The batts are designed to be installed around those building services which penetrate the concrete slab on their way to another floor. In the situation where a fire is present in a multi-storey building, the batts will expand reinstating the compartment floor/wall and preventing the spread of smoke and fire to other areas of the building.
