Randwick TAFE- Epoxy Floor Resurfacing

Recognised as a leading solutions provider of epoxy floors in Sydney, Remedial Building Services were approached in late 2010, to apply a hard wearing flooring system to heavilly trafficked areas of the Randwick Tafe and Sustainability Centre.

After analysis of the areas requiring attention, it was suggested that we apply an epoxy flooring system over the existing concrete pavers, rather than unnecessarily pull them up. After scabbling the surface, we applied a Sikafloor 94 epoxy mortar scratch coat.

Once cured, the surface was again prepared with one coat of Sikafloor 156 epoxy primer before two top coats of Sikafloor 264T were applied. To complete the flooring surface we incorporated 80 mash Silica carbide into the top coats. During the process we also recut all expansion joints, filling them with a flexible sealant.

Work was completed to the Ground Floor (750m2) and the Lower ground Floor (400m?), with the result both aethetically pleasing and purpose built to meet the requirements of the area.
