P&I Printing - Epoxy Floor Solution

When P&I Printing purchased an older premises that suited their needs, they planned to fit it out to be like new. Starting from scratch the existing premises were stripped back, machinery, fixtures and all evidence of the old tenants removed.

A key element of the fit out as far as the new owners were concerned was making sure the working surface - the floor - was of showroom quality and was going to provide a safe, hard wearing, non-slip surface. Consideration had to be given to the fact that concrete floors over time, wear and the surface deteriorates to become uneven and hazardous. In a printer, this process is exacerbated by machine oil, printers dyes, grease and general heavy traffic.

With this in mind, our technical advisors spoke with the owners to come up with the best option possible. The choice: an epoxy membrane. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but it offers a number of advantages over polished concrete, tiles and other surfaces available.

Our technical advisors gave P&I a selection of colours to choose from after which we proceeded to apply the roll on epoxy membrane. Given the large area of the warehouse, the surface was laid in 2 parts, which allowed for an expansion joint to be included. Our expert team laid the entire factory floor of 1000m2 in minimal time, allowing other trades to come in and finish their work on time too. Within 24 hours the surface was cured enough to allow light foot traffic of these trades.

The non-slip, aesthetically pleasing floor met our clients requirements for a ?slip yet attractive surface finish.

P&I Printing were extremely impressed with the Remedial teams professionalism, the minimal downtime and the aesthetic appeal of their new floors.
