Australian Maritime Services - Industrial Flooring Solution

In late 2006, our Brisbane office was contacted to perform repair work at the Australian Maritime Services, specifically on the newly laid slab. Ready Mix Concrete & Bess Concrete had recently worked on the site pouring a new concrete slab, however due to excess bleed water which became trapped in the slab, there were several areas which had delaminated.

Understandably the client was not unhappy and requested that the slab be corrected with no evidence of patching visible. After surveying the area, our team decided that the best course of action would be to roll coat the entire 1621 m2

We began work by shot-blasting and grinding the entire surface which would provide a more suitable surface for bonding with our roll coat. Once complete we vacuummed the entire area and then applied a three-coat system, the final coat being a UV Stable polyurethane resin. The choice of UV stable was made due to the existence of several areas where large roller doors would be open a significant portion of the day, allowing the sun to hit certain areas of the floor potentially bleaching them.

Our work was completed in entirety within 7-days, allowing the original project timeline to continue with the most minimal of delays.
